Where the Lost are Found, the Found are Equipped,
and the Equipped are Sent

WHERE THE LOST ARE FOUND

I Corinthians 9:22 NLT: When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.

We are the church that will continue to change the methods to bring the same message.

THE EQUIPPED ARE SENT

Matthew 28:19,20 NLT: Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

We are a church that believes in multiplying disciples by sending them out to make more disciples.

WHERE THE FOUND ARE EQUIPPED

Ephesians 2:10 NLT: For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

We are a church that believes that each person has a unique work to do. A biblically obedient church should help a believer live out their purpose.

Reach Road to Growth

In John 8:31 after some had believed that Jesus was the Christ, he told them, “If you continue in my word then you are my disciples indeed, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” We can observe that Jesus invited them into a process by which they would become true disciples. Here at Reach Church, the Reach Road to Growth is our process in which we invite all to walk closer with Jesus. Commitment to this process will bring life–change.

Pastor Jason Robinson

Jason Robinson was called by God to plant a life - giving, bible obedient church in Ypsilanti, MI. The call to plant Reach Church came to Jason during his work as a Student Advisor in Higher Education. After starting a bible study with a few families, Reach Church was officially launched in September 2014. Pastor Robinson leads Reach Church with the deep conviction that when God raises up a group of believers in the local context, that community should be impacted consistently.

Before planting Reach Church, Pastor Robinson served as Pastor of Christian Education at Canton Christian Fellowship (Canton, MI) with Senior Pastor David Washington Jr., who also was a founding pastor. While serving under Pastor Washington, God began to confirm and solidify the call to church planting. Prior to this assignment, he also was graciously blessed to be called, trained, licensed and ordained at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Kalamazoo, MI) under Dr. Addis Moore.

The work of Reach Church has been to train and develop people in practical Christian living. The church has focused on teaching and training individuals to impact the community. The church serves the local community through many programs and outreaches including; financial peace university workshops, fitness and nutritional classes, holiday help for families, home-buying workshops, back-to-school giveaways, providing meals for hundreds, clothing giveaways, and scholarships for graduating high school students.

Pastor Robinson who was born and raised in Gary, IN completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication at Indiana State University, a Certificate of Biblical Preaching from George Truett Seminary and a Certificate of Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. Pastor Robinson is married to his college sweetheart, Ebony Robinson, who is also highly involved in ministry. Together they have four children; Naima, Tahirah, Solomon and Sanaa.

Reach Kids (K-5th Grade)

Reach Kids experience the truth of God’s Word in a fun, safe and age specific environment. Our Reach Kids Team presents engaging church services that clearly present the message of Christ. Our Beginning

Reach Church was officially launched in September of 2014. Starting from a small bible study, the ministry grew focusing on the basics of community, bible teaching and one-on-one evangelism. Reach Church was started to take away barriers for unchurch people in Washtenaw County from experiencing the love of Christ. We are a family of believers who challenge and push each other to live out our God – given potential. Whether you have been in church your entire life, or never been to a Christian Church you are welcomed and wanted.

What are our big Beliefs?

We believe in God – the make and sustainer of all things, who created us for relationship with Him. That relationship was broken because of sin. Sin brought death into the world. Sin separated us from God and broke our relationship with others. But God sent Jesus his son, to be a sacrifice for our sins. By belief in Jesus we are united with God and are destined for eternal life. We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word. Our lives are to be live by the principles and teachings of God’s Word. We are called to be disciples of Christ and have been given the mission to make more disciples.
